A few days ago, Facebook announced a new revolution: the development of messages. We can choose how to communicate (SMS, chat or message) and everything will be grouped in the newly introduced "social inbox", e-mail/social Facebook.
All users will be given an address e-mail@facebook.com which will be the new email for any type of social communication.
Most likely it will be possible to import email from our previous e-mail service (like Gmail, Hotmail, Free, etc.) in order to have all conversation in one place, Facebook.

First, if you have not already done so, you must register your username on Facebook by going to http://www.facebook.com/username/ .

Then visit http://www.facebook.com/about/messages/ and request an invitation to the new mail. When the new feature will be launched and be first to get the address username@facebook.com your name!
