Just yesterday we emphasized how important and useful friends lists are. We have explained how to filter the news on the bulletin board, be invisible to some friends, and have some posts show up only to certain groups of friends.
One of the things that I never appreciated on Facebook, was the management of these lists which was a little too complicated to understand and configure the way I like. Creating new lists and adding friends to those lists is not intuitive and takes time. Google + made use of this weakness with the function called “circles”, which allows you to group friends in social circles.
This function uses the new HTML5 language that allows you to drag objects within the browser, so moving friends to lists is done by simply dragging them to a new list. To create a new list, just drag a friend on a empty circle, and so on.
What we present today, is a site-application that lets you rearrange your Facebook friends into lists Google + style, using the social circles.
The site is called CircleHack . Just log in and authorize the application and you will see the management of your friends as if you were on Google +.
